Railings
Select from our list below or call for a customized style all your own!
the collin
Our signature railing, The Collin is named after good friend and owner of The Stoddard Group, LLC. The Collin features a long, minimally interrupted handgrip and standard vertical rails, creating a modern and sleek style.
This style can be customized with round tube vs. square tube, and different sized tubes; for example, a standard size for the horizontal rails and thinner/smaller tubes for the lower rails.
heavy horizontals
Horizontal rails can help small spaces appear larger. Similar to The Collin, the top rail is minimally disrupted for a smooth handgrip while the lower rails can provide footrests. Note: This style is not recommended for environments with young children/toddlers who like to climb.
This style can be customized with round tube vs. square tube, and different sized tubes; for example, a standard size for the handgrip and a smaller size for the lower slats.
Vertical Interruptions
Not everyone is interested in the handgrip, but everyone is always interested in safety. Vertical Interruptions provide needed safety along with a clean look.
Horizontal trios
Trios of horizontal slats create a look that is both a little lighter and more intricate. A thin top square tube completes the look with a good sized grip.
Note: We did these stairs too! What a fun job!
Round horizontals
For rails that don’t compete with your decor, the round horizontals may be the style for you! these rails provide a simple and clean look, stylish without too much going on.
Scrolling handrails
Sometimes you want something a little fancier! The scrollwork is plasma-cut and fully customizable, and is set on top of standard vertical rails. If you can dream it, we can probably do it!
thin squares
A lightened-up version of the Heavy Horizontals, these rails provide a classy look to any space. Especially good when combined with any funky angles!
happy wife happy life
When we first moved to Calhan, the house had a fantastic huge front patio. But no railings. Which was great, it meant we got full creative freedom. The wife wanted these rectangles and straight lines to mirror the square straight lines of the house, and with a heavy sigh (just kidding) I gave her what she wanted.
simply rails
Sometimes a simple rail is all you need, and looks the best in your space. These basic rails provide all the safety and security of standard railings without any of the intricacies.
plasma cut rails
If you are interested in railings that tell a story, perhaps plasma-cut rails are for you! The scenes are fully customizable; we’ve done forest scenes, animals like deer/moose/bear, bucolic scenes, etc. We can even add in pieces that make sure the scene is specific to you. This picture is from one of our biggest plasma cut railing jobs to date, and I must say they look fantastic in that room!
Eye-Catching Ellipticals
Not into the squares? No problem! These ellipticals are a stylish alternative to sturdy square tube. We are lucky to have great partnerships with carpenters and can coordinate top rails and newel posts if you prefer that to steel!
